Statement Of Believe

Our beliefs are rooted in the Bible, God’s inspired Word, and reflect our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. They form the foundation of our spiritual life and guide our mission as Meriba Church.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is the Holy Spirit’s infallible guide for faith and practice.

One God in Three Persons

We believe in one living and true God, perfect in all His attributes, existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary to redeem humanity and reign over God’s kingdom.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, possessing all the attributes of deity and personhood, guiding and empowering believers.

Resurrection and Ascension

We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and His ascension into heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father with all authority.

We believe in the resurrection of all the dead.

Jesus Christ, Head of the Church

We confess Jesus Christ as the only Head of the Church and our Lord and Savior.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal and glorious return of Jesus Christ.

Creation of Man

We believe God created humanity in His own image and likeness.



Eternal Destiny

We believe in eternal life for the redeemed and eternal separation for those who reject salvation.



The Church

We believe the Church is the community of true believers in Jesus Christ, united by faith and the Holy Spirit, transcending denominational boundaries.



Baptism

We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion, symbolizing sanctification in Christ, with Jesus as the baptizer in the Holy Spirit.



Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the presence and operation of spiritual gifts as described in 1 Corinthians 12.

We believe that through the laying on of hands, God imparts blessings and spiritual gifts (Acts 8:18; 2 Timothy 1:6).

Church Life

We are devoted to biblical teaching, fellowship, prayer, and the breaking of bread (Acts 2:42).
