Ignorance is the lack of knowledge of something or someone.

Because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children…“ Here the Creator was talking not only about what ignorance has caused but also the consequence That follows an ignorant person,

The Philosopher Plato said, “Better be unborn than untaught, for ignorance is the root of misfortune.” we can notice here that learning plays a very important role otherwise it is ignorance that reigns, hence God invites us to learn through his word.
